first dates for UB40's 2009 tour Labour of Love
|
19.11.2008
|
If you ask me, I'd say that it's still quite early to pre-celebrate UB40's upcoming tour 'Labour of Love' - but on the other hand one year always passes quicker than one originally expects - so maybe it actually would be a good idea to buy tickets already now for a tour that will take-off Noveber 2009. This would of course assume you like UB40 and you're planning to see one of their concerts. Tickets for next year#s gigs are already available through www.ub40.co.uk...
So far only twelve concerts across the UK and one gig in Rotterdam are announced on UB40's homepage, but since the band seems to be in quite a good mood for touring I expect way more tour dates to come - across Europe, across the Americas - maybe in the end 'Labour of Love' will turn out to be a world-tour..? ..we'll soon see..:]

The Prodigy not live in Russia due to financial crisis
|
12.11.2008
|
already last Friday The Prodigy announced on their MySpace-Blog the cancellation of a gig which was originally supposed to take place in Moscow's Olympic Stadium on December 1st.
The reasons for the cancellation are as easy to guess as they are dramatic: the tour promoter in charge cancelled the concert due to the current financial crisis - or actually due to 'the economic climate at this time'.
But as every crisis is always 'just' a temporary problem The Prodigy are optimistic about the future tour plans for Moscow and Russia: "The band will be back in Russia next year and look forward to bringing the new album live to their Russian fans."
Well - hopefully the financial crisisis over soon so that artists, promoters and fans can go back to business soooon..:]

two Kings of Leon concerts added for summer 2009
|
11.11.2008
|
Through www.angryape.com I just found out that Kings of Leon just announced some two concerts for summer 2009. Maybe it's really a bit early, to announce tour dates that are positioned more than half a year in the future - but die hard fans might still enjoy the extra time of anticipation: although Kings of Leon are currently touring like crazy it might be hard to get a hold on tickets: the label reports that at least all of this winter's UK-gigs are long time sold out.
I doupt that tickets for next summer's gigs are already available - but if so fans should probably try to buy their tickets rather soon, since also these two concerts are expected to sell out rather quickly..
and here's the dates:
June 15th 2009 in London at the O2 Arena
June 22nd 2009 in Manchester at MEN Arena

tour dates updates: David Byrne touring all over the place
|
10.11.2008
|
David Byrne is touring - and the list of concerts seems to be just getting longer: North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and China are on the schedule - a promissing "check back for more dates" encourages me to check Byrne's tour dates section on a regular basis. Also from that pagae:
"David Byrne comes to raise the hair on your arms and the sweat on your palms. Eno and Byrne have made a new record, 'Everything that Happens will Happen Today', their first in 30 years—the formula was lost, but now it has been found. Byrne and Eno began their artistic relationship in the late seventies with 3 Talking Heads albums, followed by their groundbreaking album 'My Life in the Bush of Ghosts'.
Songs from all of the above will be performed in this concert, but not in that order."
(from www.davidbyrne.com)
..sounds promissing, eh..?

OASIS live net-stream of tonight's Cologne Concert
|
07.11.2008
|
originally OASIS should have ben on stage in Cologne already in September - but due to certain circumstances that gig was cancelled - or actually moved to Noveber 7th - which is today.
As far as I know OASIS will be of course presenting songs from their lastest album release "Dig out your Soul" - Tickets fo this 'club-gig' are rather rare if not impossible to get - but even though you can still experience the concert live: Berlin' number one radio station "Radio 1" (actually Potsdam based) is broadcasting OASIS' tonight's club gig live from 9h p.m. on - and since the program of Radio 1 is nowadays also streamed live on the internet you may join the live-cast and enjoy that exclusive club gig sitting on your couch at home - whereever that might be..:]
Here's the website from where the live-stream should be available:
www.radioeins.de/livestream/radioeins_hoeren.html
..hope it works..?¿
..enjoy the show! ..greetz! ..t..
PS: "9h p.m." refers to Cologne/ Berlin time - which is also our local Server Time here on livetourdates - you can find it in the top right corner of this page next to "Server Time"

back in USA: Tokio Hotel touring East Coast
|
26.10.2008
|
Tokio Hotel are currntly back in the USA - doing five shows along the East Coast! I actually don't know how I could have missed this good news for all those US-American Tokio Hotel fans..?! ..I only now found out, that the four Magdeburg boys are back in the USA for five gigs across the East Coast: Orlando, Atlanta, Columbus, Philadelphia - and New York City are on the schedule.
My wild guesses are, that a) their last visit to the USA was just not enough - and b) of course they just have to promote their latest album relase "Scream", which is now also available in the USA..
..the tour dates page of Tokio Hotel's homepage suggests that tickets are still available - so if you want to see the boys live - his might be your chance..:]
..enjoy the show! ..greetz! ..t...
