server time
here on livetourdates.org we have our own time - the server time.
Since livetourdates.org is a Berlin based project the server time ticks in the same rythm as the Berlin time does - this means for unregistred anonymous visitors Berlin time is THE time when it comes to terms like "today" and "tomorow".
An example: a concert in New York City is scheduled to begin at 20:00 (8h p.m.) New York time on a regular saturday night. Berlin time is 6h 'before' New York time - this means that already at 6 p.m. New York time the gig will not be found on the front page of livetourdates.org, but on the appropriate archive page - since in Berlin it is already Sunday.
I know - this is not really a convenient way of doing the time/space calculations. That's why we'll soon be facing an advanced way of time/space handling here on on livetourdates.org: If you want to avoid confusions and instead see the correct gigs for your 'today' and your 'tomorrow', you are warmly welcome to feel free and register here at livetourdates.org. Registration is and always will be free of charge, and in the near future you may expect some features coming up, that will probably make a band's life and/or a booker's job and/or a small record label's webmaster's daily routine a lot easier..:] So please feel invited to stay tuned and check out these great new little tools and feature very very soooooon..
greetings, -www.livetourdates.org-
